Netball New Zealand (NNZ) is pleased to announce a new two-year partnership with Summerset, the nationwide retirement villages extending their support for the national game as an official partner of Netball New Zealand.
Summerset Retirement Villages will become the official retirement village partner of NNZ, covering retirement villages and aged care. They will have an increased presence in both the ANZ Premiership and around the Silver Ferns.
Netball NZ chief executive Jennie Wyllie said they were delighted to have Summerset extend their partnership beyond their previous position with the sport.
“Netball has followers spanning every generation – from those still wearing the playing bibs, blowing the whistles, or volunteering behind the scenes, to those who are on the sidelines supporting their children and grandchildren or cheering on the sport from their living rooms.
“Our values at Netball New Zealand and Summerset Retirement Villages align as we advocate for a healthy lifestyle and supporting each other as a community, and I’m looking forward to working with Summerset over the next two years.”
Summerset CEO Scott Scoullar said they were excited to become an Official Partner of Netball New Zealand and continue an extended partnership with the game nationwide.
“We’re proud to be supporting a sport that so many of our residents are passionate about and who have been involved in over the years both as players and administrators, but also as supporters for their children and grandchildren,” he said.
“Netball is far reaching when it comes to supporters, spanning many generations and cities and towns country-wide, and for Summerset that support comes from many of our residents in over 30 villages across New Zealand.”
The villages, from Whangarei in the north to Dunedin in the south, are designed for over 70s providing vibrant communities and a continuum of care, from independent living through to care facilities on site. For more information on Summerset retirement villages, visit www.summerset.co.nz
