NETFIT NZ open World’s Fittest Netball campaign

To celebrate the release of their world class netball lifestyle app, NETFIT NZ have partnered with the New Zealand Police to launch the World’s Fittest Netballer campaign.

Running for the month of March the World’s Fittest Netballer is a back to netball program led by Laura Langman, world champion Silver Ferns captain. Aligning with the community netball pre-season, the weekly program includes something for everyone, with sessions that can be done at home or in the gym.

Powered by the New Zealand Police, Laura challenges netballers to a weekly test where they will also get a taste of the Physical Appraisal Tests that are included in the NZ Police recruitment process.

Eseta Autagavaia, current New Zealand Police Officer and pro-netballer is proud to be part of the campaign.

“Being fit for netball gave me a really good head start when applying for the New Zealand Police. I’m excited to share the Physical Appraisal Tests with the netball community so they can see how they can make their netball skills, police skills,” she said

Vinesh Sima, New Zealand Police Talent Resourcing Delivery Manager is excited about the partnership.

“Netballers also epitomise some of the key attributes we are looking for in becoming a Police officer - they are good communicators and team players.”

While Laura encourages netballers to train hard, the 163-cap Silver Fern knows recovery is fundamental for netballers of all ages.

“I love pushing the limits in my training, so rest is even more important. One of my favourite parts of World’s Fittest Netballer is Sit Down Sunday, where we share recovery ideas, vlogs and connect with our community through our weekly NETFIT zoom catch ups.”
