Launched in early April to provide the netball community free access to online workouts during the COVID-19 lockdown, NETFIT NZ is now changing its show times to accommodate viewers.
Netball New Zealand and ANZ partnered with global netball fitness, skills and wellbeing organisation NETFIT during the Level 4 lockdown.
With the move to Level 3 and re-opening of schools, the show, which has proved popular with school-age participants, is now being realigned to better suit school and work hours.
From Tuesday May 5, the NETFIT NZ programme will screen live on Sky Sport 3 from 4-6pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and is also available through www.netfitnetball.com
Replays can be viewed on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays between 9- 11am on Sky Sport 3.
The online workouts also look into health, fitness, coaching, nutrition and wellbeing sessions, with the NETFIT NZ programme being hosted by former Silver Fern Courtney Tairi and Laura Langman with other elite players also providing content.
“The uptake and popularity of the show has been great,” Tairi said.
“It’s been fantastic to be able to connect with netballers and the community. We’ve had a lot of feedback from people tuning in and found people are not just doing it on their own.
“Even though they’re in isolation, they can still be part of something and sport is bringing them together. The school-age demographic has been very responsive and that has drawn mums and dads to join in as well.”
