Cadbury Volunteer of the Month: Taylor Bain

In the control tower at Te Puke Netball Centre on a Thursday evening is where Taylor Bain can be found keeping everything running to schedule.

Taylor, a Year 12 student, has been volunteering as the timekeeper and announcer for two years.

Taylor said she had learnt many great life skills including time management, organisation and skills to be able talk to people. She has also found volunteering to be an awesome way to get to know everyone and feel like she’s done her part to help the community out.

Taylor has discovered that there are many perks to this role as well as the opportunity to look back and laugh at a few of her best blooper moments.

Congratulations Taylor on being one of the Cadbury Volunteer of the Month winners from around the country for September and well done to all our other Centre winners.

Cadbury Volunteer of the Month is now finished for the year but you can still nominate a deserving Volunteer for the annual Cadbury Volunteer Awards.

There are five categories (Coach, Official, Administrator, Youth and Community Champion) with winners from each category being treated to a money can’t buy experience with the Silver Ferns.
