National Umpiring and Technical Officials Manager

Reporting to the Head of Community Netball you will work closely with the Community Netball and High Performance Umpire and Bench Official programmes and pathways, ensuring there is sufficient capability to support the development of people across umpiring and bench officiating.

Key responsibilities include.

  • Growing and supporting Community Netball to ensure there is sufficient capability to lead the development of community umpiring and bench officiating, based on a locally led and sustainable approach.
  • Ensuring that High Performance Netball in New Zealand has systems and programmes in place that ensure a sustainable pool of high-quality umpires, umpire coaches, selectors and bench officials are available in elite domestic competitions.

We are seeking someone who has broad sporting sector knowledge and perspective, across community and high performance sport, with Netball and/or officiating experience an advantage.

You’ll get to show case your strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, generating mutual respect and trust. The ability to communicate and implement strategies, inspire, and ensure ‘buy in’ from a diverse range of stakeholders are key skill sets.
