NetballSmart workshops to roll out throughout NZ
Netball New Zealand (NNZ) will deliver over 70 NetballSmart training sessions to the Netball community throughout NZ this year.
The workshops will enable attendees to deliver the NetballSmart dynamic warm-up to their teams, with the aim of preventing injuries and enhancing performance.
To deliver the NetballSmart programme eight facilitators were trained at Diocesan School for Girls in Auckland last week, where they were coached on the philosophies of the 9 NetballSmart principles.
Sharon Kearney – NNZ Injury Prevention Consultant – led the workshop alongside NNZ National Training Manager Tania Karauria and NNZ National Manager (Coach Development) Kirsten Hellier.
All eight facilitators were actively involved in the workshop and with their physio, strength and conditioning backgrounds will prove to be a great asset to the NNZ Coach Developer Network.
