HP Coaches Forum brings together ANZ Premiership coaches
The recent High Performance Coaches Forum was an opportunity for the ANZ Premiership coaches to get together and discuss future directions with some of the best minds in Netball.
The room included seven Silver Ferns coaches, ANZ Premiership and Beko Netball League coaches, as well as Performances Managers from across the five Zones and umpiring representatives.
Silvermoon Tactix coach Marianne Delaney-Hoshek said it was the casual conversations in breaks which sometimes provided the greatest insight.
“I was lucky enough to sit next to Dame Lois Muir at dinner and she was telling me all sorts of stories,” Delaney-Hoshek said.
“I got some tactical insight and some tips to get me on my way and kick start my 2018 programme. These types of connections and opportunities are really important for us going forward.”
The forum was also an opportunity for the coaches to discuss potential changes and review the season just gone before they kick-start their programmes for 2018.
“I think the overriding message out of the forum was that we are on the right track,” she said.
“There were so many great discussions and insights, that I think we need a bit of time to process and reflect.
“It has been a great chance for us all to get on the same page and understand the style of Netball we want to play and the product we actually want to put out on court.”
